Why a powder
Ubtan has always been mixed fresh. As a dry powder it's made without preservatives, and you choose the liquid each time: thinner with rose water, creamier with curd.
What’s inside: 5 ingredients, nothing else
-
Rice powder. Soft, fine grains for a smooth paste.
-
Masoor dal. Fine lentil flour, a staple of homemade ubtan.
-
Liquorice (mulethi) root. A classic ubtan root.
-
Amla. Indian gooseberry, a fruit naturally rich in vitamin C.
-
Kasturi haldi. Wild turmeric (not kitchen turmeric), used on the face rather than in cooking.

Product facts
Frequently asked
Will it remove my tan?
It's an ubtan-style face pack: it cleans and leaves skin feeling soft and fresh. It won't change your skin tone. Use it 2-3 times a week as a ritual.
Will the turmeric stain my skin?
It uses kasturi haldi (wild turmeric), not kitchen turmeric. Rinse well with lukewarm water. A faint yellow tint can stay on nails or skin for a short while.
Rose water or curd: which one should I use?
Use rose water for normal, combination or oily skin, and curd if your skin is dry. Plain water works too.
How long should I leave it on?
10-15 minutes. Rinse before it dries completely and cracks.
How often can I use it?
2-3 times a week.
Is it good for sensitive skin?
Patch test on your inner arm 24 hours before first use. Keep it away from the eyes, and rinse it off if it stings.
Why did my powder clump?
Moisture got in. Always use a dry spoon and close the cork tightly after use.
What is the shelf life?
12 months from the date of manufacture, as long as you keep it dry.
Can I use it while pregnant, or on children?
Please patch test first and check with your doctor for pregnancy or children.
